Cork can look like there is no where to run if you are staying in a hotel in the city.

There are however lots of great routes around the city. If you head east towards Pairc Ui Caoimh past a pub called Goldbergs you’ll find some of the best running in the country. Alternatively head east of the city towards the Mardyke for some more cycle paths and river walk ways.

Get the train to Midleton to run on the Greenway starting outside the train station in Midleton. Coffee and cakes can be found at the Grumpy Bakers.

The train to Little Island or Glounthaune provides access to a 4m wide shared path between Dunkettle and Carrigtohill that is about 7km in length.
